Sometimes, the simplest DIY ideas turn into the biggest game-changers—and this one definitely falls into that category. We’re talking sleek, narrow wall panels "boxes" that look like they came out of a design magazine but only took an afternoon, a buddy, and around €150 to pull off. If you’ve ever wanted to upgrade your space without picking up a power saw or breaking the bank, this is your sign.
Here’s exactly how we did it, and how you can too:
Materials & Tools
- Decoflair Wall Strips – For strong, tool-free mounting.
- Decoflair Adhesive – Reliable, easy to use, and holds up beautifully.
- Measuring Tape – Because alignment is everything.
- Level – Keep those lines crisp and straight.
- Painter’s Tape (optional) – To mock up placement before committing.
- A Friend – Trust us, this is a two-person job!
Step-to-step:
Step 1: Team Up and Measure Twice
First things first—this is 100% a two-person job. We learned that early, and trust us, it made the whole process smoother and way more fun. After a quick brainstorming session (and a coffee break), we measured out the wall where we wanted the boxes to go. Keeping everything level and evenly spaced is key to nailing the look, so don’t skip the measuring tape!
Step 2: Stick with Style (Literally)
With our layout marked, we got to the good part—sticking the strips onto the wall. We used wall strips and adhesives from Decoflair. We were a little sceptical at first, but spoiler alert—they look amazing.
Step 3: Repeat, Align, Admire
Once the first "box" was up, we used it as a guide for the next ones. With two people working in sync, we kept everything aligned, level, and evenly spaced. It’s one of those oddly satisfying moments where every box clicks into place and you step back like, “Wait, did we just do that?”
Final Thoughts: Yes, You Can Totally Do This
If you’re new to DIY or just want a fast project with big results, this one is a no-brainer. Grab a friend, grab your wall strips, and give your space a little upgrade. We’re proof that with the right setup (and a bit of teamwork), even the simplest ideas can make a room feel brand new.
Now who’s ready for the next project?
