the first step...
when I decided to do this panelling project the first thing I did was figure out the dimensions of my wall and the frames I was going to apply, so I measured the wall with a meter and highlighted the outline of the frames with a pencil. To make the straight lines I used a spirit level. It’s very important to mark the line before applying the glue!
After that I cut the frames with a miter box and applied them to the wall with masking tape, just to check I liked the result. After that, I fixed them with glue.
The final step was to paint the wall. Perhaps this was the most complicated part of all. Even though it was my first time doing the whole process, this part was the hardest for me. I didn't immediately understand the right technique to spread the paint and I admit that I managed to get a decent result after the fourth coat! But in the end, I really like the result, so don't worry if you struggle in some steps, it's normal not to always succeed on the first attempt.
And this is the final result!
